Whilst studying for a degree in Sound, Light and Live Event Technology at The University of Derby in 2011, George started his career in the events industry on a self-employed basis. During this time he worked on The City of London annual festivals, events at the British Library and the opening of a brand new multi purpose events and youth building for Islington Council.
After university George joined Anna Valley where, he held several positions including Project Manager, Head of Projects, and Operations Director. George has an excellent technical knowledge base covering Video, Audio and Lighting. He loves a tricky problem to troubleshoot.
George has worked on several exciting projects such as the James Bond Spectre world film premiere and Sotheby's first online auction. George has vast experience in working with and managing multiple suppliers (on multiple sites or projects) ensuring smooth and efficient on budget delivery.
During a show at the copper box arena, I managed to get both my phones stuck under the seat of one of the only road legal Lotus 3-Elevens at the time, they had to take the seat out to retrieve them!
After graduating The University of Derby in 2012, Andrew joined Anna Valley and started his career which has been built on a passion for exceptional technical delivery.

I’m passionate about photography and have recently delved into the captivating world of traditional 35mm analogue film.
Tom began working in the events industry in 2009 as a lighting technician and programmer, before starting his study at The Derby University. During this time Tom started working for a Classic SFX which gave him opportunity to work on larger and higher profile events such as The Rugby League World Cup and The Six Nations Tournament.
After graduating from university, Tom embarked on a freelance career as a Lighting Programmer and Director. However, over time Tom took a journey from Lights to Pixels as his passion evolved, leading him into the complex world of Video Engineering. His work has taken him across the globe, where he has honed his skills and gained invaluable experience. Tom’s adaptability shines as he navigates the diverse scenarios within the events industry. His expertise spans Concert Touring, Television and Corporate Events.
In recent years Tom has emerged as a sought-after professional in the field of Media Server Programming, Video Engineering, and Technical System Design. His expertise extends to designing, implementing, programming, and orchestrating some of the most spectacular global events. Notably, Tom has worked on two MDL Beast Soundstorm Festivals, both Taylor Hawkins Tribute Shows alongside the Foo Fighters, and Metallica’s M72 World Tour - a journey which started in 2023 and culminated in a prestigious Parnelli Award for Video Production of the Year.
I really enjoy making coffee for my colleagues on-site, never leaving home without at very least an Aeropress.
